The image library is your centralized hub for managing all visual assets across your team. Upload images from your device, pull them from a URL, or generate them with AI — then reuse them across any template.

What is the image library?

The image library helps you:
  • Store and organize all your visual assets in collections.
  • Upload images from multiple sources.
  • Edit image properties including cropping, background settings, and formatting.
  • Generate AI-powered image descriptions and metadata automatically.
  • Reuse images across templates and campaigns.

Uploading images

When you add images, Denada reviews each one and adds appropriate tags and metadata so it can find and use them later.

From your device

  1. Navigate to your image library from the sidebar.
  2. Drag and drop files directly into the browser window.
  3. Or click the upload area to open the file browser and select images.

From a URL

  1. Click the + button in the image library.
  2. Select Add from URL.
  3. Enter the image URL and click Add.

Using AI generation

  1. Click the + button in the image library.
  2. Select Generate with AI.
  3. Enter a detailed prompt describing the image you want.
  4. Choose an aspect ratio (square, landscape, or portrait).
  5. Click Generate.
Be specific with AI image prompts. “A flat-lay photo of a coffee cup on a marble table with morning light” will produce a much better result than “coffee picture.”
When you upload images, Denada automatically:
  • Generates descriptive metadata.
  • Creates appropriate alt text.
  • Suggests optimal presentation settings (fit, format).
  • Identifies key visual elements and themes.

Image editing

Once an image is in your library, you can adjust how it is presented.

Cropping images

  1. Select an image in your library.
  2. Click Crop image…
  3. Use the crop tool to select the desired area.
  4. Adjust the crop using the handles.
  5. Click OK to apply.

Editing image properties

  1. Select an image in your library.
  2. Click Edit image…
  3. Adjust settings:
    • Fit — how the image fills its container (center, fill).
    • Format — image format (JPEG, PNG, GIF, or automatic).
  4. Preview the image in different aspect ratios.
  5. Click OK to save.

Image metadata

Each image includes metadata that makes it searchable and accessible:
FieldDescription
TitleA short descriptive name
DescriptionAI-generated summary of image contents
KeywordsAutomatically generated tags for searching
Alt textAccessibility text for screen readers
SourceWhere the image came from (upload, URL, AI generation)
You can edit any of these fields manually. This is useful for adding specific names, deadlines, or usage rules (for example, “do not use after Labor Day”).

Organization

Keep your images organized with collections — groups of related images that you can browse and search independently.
  • Create collections for campaigns, product lines, or content types.
  • Move images between collections at any time.
  • Search across all collections or filter to a specific one.

Using images in templates

When you are editing a template and select an image parameter, the image selector opens and lets you browse your library, search by keyword, or upload something new. Learn more about using images in templates

Best practices

  • Use descriptive filenames. Good names make images easier to find later.
  • Organize with collections. Group related images together by campaign or theme.
  • Review AI-generated metadata. The automatic descriptions are a great start, but a quick review ensures accuracy.
  • Consider image format. Use JPEG for photos and PNG for graphics with transparency.
The image library automatically optimizes your images for email delivery, ensuring fast loading times while maintaining visual quality. This happens in the background without requiring any action from you.
